Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often from carriers thinking about partnering with us.

How does your dispatch service work?

You tell us your equipment, preferred lanes, and home-time schedule. Our dispatchers work load boards and our broker network to find the best paying loads in your area. We negotiate rates, handle paperwork, coordinate pickups and deliveries, and follow up on payments. You approve every rate before booking — nothing gets dispatched without your sign-off.

What does it cost?

We charge a flat percentage of the gross rate per load. No setup fees, no monthly minimums, no hidden costs. Exact percentage depends on equipment type and service tier — we'll quote you during your free consultation.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. We don't lock you in. You can cancel anytime with one week's notice. We believe if we're earning your business, you'll stay because of the results — not because of a contract.

What equipment do you dispatch for?

Semi Trucks (dry van), Box Trucks, Hotshots, Reefers, Flatbeds, Step-Decks, and Power-Only. If you run something specialized, ask us — we likely have broker contacts for it.

I'm brand new with a fresh MC. Will you work with me?

Yes. We work with new authorities all the time. Our Growth Services include broker packet prep and broker credit building, which significantly cuts down the typical 4–6 week ramp-up that new MCs face.

Do I keep my factoring company / fuel card / insurance?

Absolutely. Everything you currently use stays in place. We just add the dispatch and back-office layer on top. If you want recommendations on better factoring rates or fuel programs, we can help with that too — but it's optional.

How fast can you get me booked on a load?

Usually same-day for established lanes once we have your carrier packet uploaded with brokers. For brand-new MCs, the first paying load typically comes within the first one to two weeks of onboarding.

Do you handle compliance and IFTA?

Yes — those are part of our Compliance & Safety service. We manage DOT, FMCSA, IFTA, UCR, MCS-150 updates, drug-and-alcohol consortium, and BOC-3 filings so you stay audit-ready.

Where is MK Logistics based?

Our headquarters are in Austin, Texas. We dispatch carriers across all 48 contiguous states.
